Summary of Innovation

The new FramePick solution is a combination of the LR 35 Vertical Buffer Module (VBM) and order picking trolleys with stationary put-to-light displays, which are combined into a complete solution with Power Pick Global Software. When the LR 35 VBM presents a bin or tote, the display on the FramePick shows how many items should be placed in which bin. When all orders are complete, the trolley with the full bins can be easily transported to the packaging area. And the new trolley with empty bins takes over the position in the Put Frame. This new solution can reduce walking distances by up 65% and reduce floor space by 80%.
The LR 35 Vertical Buffer Module was specifically developed as a result of the trend towards a larger variety of articles, smaller batch sizes and continuous 24-hour operation. The LR 35 offers efficient solutions for picking small parts from bins, totes and boxes, but can also be used as a consolidation buffer. The VBM consists of a rack system with automatic tote handling, operator opening (s) or picking stations as well as control hardware and software. The system is designed to deliver discrete items directly to an operator.

Innovation Statement

FramePick is a new solution from Kardex Remstar. In combination with the LR 35 Vertical Buffer Module, FramePick consists of picking trolleys and put lights to increase picking efficiencies, reducing walking distances by up to 65% and reducing floor space required for picking by 80%.
