Summary of Innovation
Started from 2015, the HAIPICK System (known as KUBO before) designed by HAI ROBOTICS, is an autonomous case-handling robotic system. As a highly flexible goods-to-person system, HAIPICK “cases-to-person" system provides the exact goods demanded by orders in a more precise way, which can increase operators' working efficiency by 3-4 times. It uses standard bin shelves with maximum 4m height, which brings more than 80% storage increase. With HAIPICK, construction of the whole system can be completed within one week for a 2000 square meter warehouse.
Innovation Statement
HAIPICK System, bring up the concept of Autonomous Case-handling Robotic System, is an evolutionary product and a new form of Goods-to-Person automation system. Compared with the “shelves-to-person” system, HAIPICK system innovatively invents “cases-to-person” mode, and provides the exact goods demanded by orders in a more precise way.
Updated to 4th generation, HAIPICK system can provide 180% times storage with 4-meter-high (13ft) shelves because of the 4.2-meter (13.7ft) HAIPICK robots. Each HAIPICK robot can carry up to 8 cases at one time, with the maximum speed at 1.8m/s (5.9ft/s). The control precision of the robot can reach to 3mm with intelligent transportation, self-contained navigation, obstruction avoidance and auto charging functions. HAIPICK system eliminates the walking and searching time for workers, saving 3/4 of the manual picking process. Therefore, the operator’s productivity is increased by 3-4 times than the traditional picking process. The software of the system HAIQ uses Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning to ensure superior performance in different environments. KANBAN and control tower are both supported to realize operation visualization management by HAIQ.
Applicability
HAIPICK system can transform warehouse with intelligent automated conveying, retrieval, storage and sortation in a more efficient way. The “affordable” and “scalable” design concepts of HAIPICK can help the cost optimization. Given diverse clients’ needs, HAIPICK system is also able to be customized and interact with other various equipment, including, but not limited to, robotic arms and conveyor system, smoothly adapting to different application cases. It can be implemented at both manufacturing industries and distribution centers, support a wide range of industries, including apparel, e-commerce, retail, manufacture, 3PL, consumer electronics, pharmaceuticals, auto parts and etc.. HAIPICK has been implemented at the warehouses of BEST Supply Chain and SF DHL Supply Chain China as well as some factories of manufacturers, and obtained a very good market response.
