Summary of Innovation

Launched in April 2019, RightPick2™ is RightHand Robotics’ next-generation, data-driven picking platform which provides flexible and scalable automation for predictable order fulfillment. The software-driven, hardware-enabled, modular robotic piece-picking solution is capable of performing many common warehouse workflows including picking from goods-to-picker systems, inducting to automated sortation systems, sorting directly to put walls or adding item-handling options to autonomous mobile robot (AMR) systems. These attributes provide a reliable automation option to service growing item handling demand in industries such as electronics, apparel, groceries, pharmaceuticals, and more.

RightPick2 is the latest generation of the proven RightPick platform, with upgrades to key hardware modules including the 5th-generation intelligent gripper with integrated sensing, the vision subsystem (based on Intel® RealSense™ Depth Camera D415), robotic arm (UR e-series cobot) and processor (Industrial PC with Nvidia GPUs). The advanced system features fast and gentle item handling for tens of thousands of individual products, sufficient for the demands of consumer packaged goods distribution in Japan, where even slight cosmetic defects render items unsellable. RightPick2 also includes the RightPick Management System, providing fleet management and human-assisted exception handling capabilities, allowing warehouse operators to manage up to ten robots from one location. RightPick2 is system integrator friendly, as evidenced by a growing list of announced partners. It is easily integrated with any warehouse management system or warehouse control system via a straightforward API, RightPick-MCP, leading to its inclusion as an inaugural member of the Manhattan Automation Network and integration into leading industry ASRS systems such as Autostore®, working with Element Logic in Europe. Combined, these characteristics make RightPick2 the only automated robotic piece-picking solution suitable for wide-scale adoption by virtually any system integrator for use by the broadest set of supply chain end users competing in the “bricks and clicks” space.
