Summary of Innovation

The Gapper O is designed for feeding sawtooth merges, combiners, sorters, or other equipment where carton pitch must be controlled for maximum throughput. Available in a variety of widths, the optimizer comes standard with three stages–all with independent speed control and shaft mounted drives in one bed section.
The gap optimizer features auto-belt tracking, precision bearings, and a take-up indicator, eliminating the need for many routine maintenance tasks. Additional belt segments can be added as needed.

Innovation Statement

The gap optimizer allows for better product positioning, higher throughput of product, and requires less maintenance than previous gapper versions. It is ideally suited for feeding sortation lines where there is a large diversity in the size and shape of the products being sorted, since the space between the products can be optimized at discharge, regardless of the spacing on infeed.

Applicability

The gap optimizer is primarily used within warehouse & distribution and e-commerce industries, but may be used for feeding sawtooth merges, combiners, and sorters.
