Summary of Innovation

Eurotec, a member of Eurogroep, is the driving force behind the Lowpad, a one-of-a-kind autonomous mobile robot that optimizes internal logistics and distribution processes in a wide range of companies. Within the group, Eurotec can draw from a broad experience of already developed equipment. This provides an important contribution for customers to facilitate the development of processes. This combination results in high-tech equipment that supports and optimizes customer business processes. It makes Eurotec a target oriented and highly reliable partner.

The Lowpad is a smart autonomous mobile robot suitable for autonomous transport of all type of loadcarriers(pallets, dollies, roll containers, racks, tools etc). Lowpads can be operated without requiring adjustments to the existing infrastructure of a warehouse and safety is guaranteed by certified safety sensors. The Lowpad drives fast and super-accurate by incorporating a combination of the latest technologies into one AI based control system. Among other technologies we use, combined odometry and smart sensor fusing control systems, floor detection applications based on smart algorithms and information from on-board lidar systems. Lowpads are controlled through overhead software. This software does events/task planning, calculates smartest routes using SWARM technology and controls the fleet of Lowpads avoiding collisions and death-locks. This user-friendly software enables companies to change warehouse grids themselves and data is available to be used for further optimizing internal logistics flows. Integration can be done seamlessly into the client's existing system via a web API connection.

Innovation Statement

The Lowpad is one of a kind, because of its ultra-low height (the lowest autonomous mobile robot available on the market), omnidirectional and accurate driving behaviour. The different Lowpad models can accommodate almost all existing loadcarriers being used today and can work in conjunction with each other. Innovation is in our DNA and with the Lowpad we created a product that makes the future of internal logistics available now.

Applicability

The Lowpad is suitable for many applications where product variability, delivery time and efficiency are key. The Lowpad system is so plug and play, customers can scale up over the years and even re-locate the Lowpads if necessary. This enables customers to have a modular type of automation ensuring fast ROI and being able to coop with the ever changing landscape where they are operating in. Besides that the Lowpad system offers a reliable system as the multiplicity of the Lowpad system in itself generates a high redundancy.

Further restrictions on labour and increasing trade tariffs forces companies also to boost up
productivity levels significantly, most like through investment in robotics. This trend is already noticeable at Eurotec, where we already observe a growing demand for Lowpad systems Most interesting fact is that customers indicates that our automation solution does definitely not mean replacement of personnel, but in fact is replacement of non-available personnel.
