Responsibility
- Prioritizes workload on the basis of severity and degree of business impact
- Ensures compliance with TS16949, Customer Specific Requirements, Webasto procedures and other applicable standards
- Monitors manufacturing process effectiveness
- Designs and develops equipment
- Procures equipment from third parties
- Develops and maintains Work Instructions, PFMEAs, and other process documentation
- Participates in and leads Continuous Improvement activities
- Supports line balance studies and participate on improvements
- Participates in training to increase skills
- Performs all duties in a professional, ethical, and legal manner
- Ensure Product Safety lessons learned are reflected in current product
- Ability to stop production
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field
- 3 years related experience in manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Experience in design and troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems
- Knowledge of TS 16949 Technical Specification
- Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal cummunication skills
- PLC Programming knowledge of CAD preferred
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment
Authorization
- Develops and implements manufacturing process
- Approves new & modified equipment
- Initiates process changes to improve quality or reduce cost
