Summary of Innovation

For the first time, Softeon brings together traditional Warehouse Management (WMS) with New Warehouse Execution System (WES) capabilities, in a truly breakthrough solution that leverages the best of both technologies to deliver new levels of distribution center performance.

After two decades of just incremental WMS improvements, the addition powerful new WES capabilities - strategic and tactical DC simulation; advance labor and resource planning; granular visibility to throughput and bottlenecks across the DC; fully automated order release; pick route optimization and more - to WMS is a true step-change in distribution technology, WES providers lack WMS capabilities, while other WMS providers have not fully developed advanced WES functionality.
The new Softeon solution uniquely uses simulation to play out actual and projected order and picking demand for each shift again human and equipment resources to produce a time-phased (hourly) and dynamic resource plan. It automatically releases orders and work based on efficiency opportunities and later to ensure customer service commitments and carrier cut off times are met, delivering for the first time the vision of the "autononous WMS" and continuous flow distribution.
