Configura heads to MODEX to demo space-planning software for the material handling industry

Configura, Inc.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH., USA—Feb. 13, 2020—Configura, maker of CET Designer software, will showcase its solution for designing warehouses and other large spaces for the material handling industry at MODEX in Atlanta, March 9-12.

“We’re looking forward to showing the material handling industry how CET Designer streamlines the warehouse design process and how it can be adapted to each manufacturer’s unique requirements,” Configura’s Vice President of Business Development Peter Brandinger said. “Designing warehouses and other large spaces is a complex process but, with CET Designer, people can efficiently generate drawings and quotes, which results in faster and accurate project delivery.”

Used by thousands of people globally, CET Designer helps manufacturers and their dealers by providing a single software solution for space planning and product ordering. The solution is used in industries that manufacture configurable products including office furniture, kitchen and bath, material handling, industrial machinery and laboratory/healthcare.

CET Designer is Configura's "core" Parametric Graphical Configuration (PGC)-based software platform; an Extension is an addition to the program with functionality that incorporates all of the rules, parts and pricing of a given manufacturer's products.

Manufacturers partner with Configura to create CET Designer Extensions that make selling their products fast, easy and extremely accurate. The highly visual software enables 2D and 3D design, a project collaboration tool, photorealistic renderings, fly-thru videos, virtual and augmented reality experiences, instant pricing, parts lists and installation documents. Behind the scenes, the software tracks components and calculates prices, reducing the time needed to design a warehouse.

CET Designer has become the leading space-planning software solution in the North American office furniture industry where Configura partners with companies including Steelcase, Haworth, Herman Miller and others. Gaining traction in the material handling industry, Configura partners with companies including Dematic, Constructor, AJ Products, EAB and Troax.

“Configura works with leading companies in the material handling industry, and we’re excited to show MODEX attendees how our solution can transform their warehouse design process,” Configura’s Business Development Manager Sarah Bradstreet said. “We’re constantly innovating to offer the best solution for our customers, and we encourage anyone who is curious about CET Designer to stop by our booth.”
